Broiling Filet Mignon Steak
Broiling means exposing to the great heat. Food can be broiled in and oven, directly under the gas or electric heat source, or on a barbecue grill, directly over charcoal or other heat source. Pan-broil means to cook meats quickly in a heavy, ungreased (or lightly greased) frying pan over high heat. All the drippings are poured off as they form.
Here is one quick recipe for broiled filet mignon:
Ingredients:
8 ounces Filet Mignon
Directions:
Set oven regulator to broil. Place steak 3 to 4 inches from heat. Broil 6 minutes per side for rare. For medium steak, allow 20 minutes total cooking time. Allow 4 servings per pound.
